Liam Gallagher forced to apologise to fans as he deletes post days before Oasis reunion

Liam Gallagher issued an apology to his followers on social media following a now deleted post just days before he reunites with brother Noel. The iconic Britpop star, 52, will make an epic return to the stage forthe long awaited Oasis reunion on Friday.
Their tour has already broke records as one of the most in demand in music history, and will kick off in Cardiff this weekend. Oasis will then travel around the UK and Ireland before embarking on the rest of their world tour.
Howeverjust days before the action gets underway, Liam was accused of posting a 'racial slur' on his X account. He tweeted the phrase 'chingchong', which is understood as an offensive or derogatory phrase that’s used to mock or denigrate East Asian languages.
Liam's followers warned him what the phrase meant, and he swiftly deleted the post. He went on to issue an apology after fans told him he "can't say that".
"Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before it wasn’t intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. peace and love LG x," he said.
The band have already travelled to Cardiffahead of their mammoth tour and fans living near by have already been given a taste of what to expect. Sound checks at the Principality Stadium have revealed some songs that could be on the setlist.
It sparked rumours that Liam and Noel have been there together to rehearse for their first shows in more than a decade. However, Liam responded to a video of the soundchecks and claimed he wasn't there.
He wrote: "Mmm I'm not sure about the vocals there too aggressive he really needs to take a chill pill man he's just so angry all the time I don't know who he thinks he is as far as I'm concerned he's just a bigmouth from up north."
When asked by a fan to "confirm or deny" if it was him rehearsing, Liam replied: "I've been in my pool all day doing under water farts so it's defo a recording from rehearsals unless there's 2 of me which I'm absolutely 1 million per cent here for well there for as well."
Ahead of Oasis' first comeback gig, the Mirror revealed just days ago that the band, which includes Liam, Noel, new drummer Joey Waronker and guitarists Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, are gearing up to ensure they sound their best on the tour.
A source told us: "With a new line up and it being such a huge first show, the boys will do some songs inside the venue too. Some tours would start with a smaller show or take a week or two to get into the groove again."
They went on to say that the brothers want each show to be "massive". The source continued by saying: "But there is no time for that and also Liam and Noel want every night to be massive. This is such a huge comeback show and they are taking it very seriously. It all points to it being an incredible comeback tour."
