The spotlight shone on Jaipur on August 18, as Manika Vishwakarma was crowned Miss Universe India 2025 in a glittering ceremony that brought together glamour, talent, and ambition. The crown was passed on to her by outgoing queen Rhea Singha, Miss Universe India 2024. With this victory, Manika will now represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, to be held in November 2025 in Thailand. This is the second year in a row that Jaipur has hosted the prestigious national pageant.
The competition was fierce, with several contestants making a mark. Tanya Sharma from Uttar Pradesh secured the position of first runner-up, while Mehak Dhingra was declared second runner-up. The third runner-up title went to Amishi Kaushik from Haryana, completing a strong lineup of winners.
Born in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, and currently living in Delhi, Manika is a final-year student of Political Science and Economics. Her pageant journey began with her win as Miss Universe Rajasthan 2024, a title that opened the door to the national stage.
But her identity extends well beyond the crown. Manika is the founder of Neuronova, a platform dedicated to reshaping conversations around neurodivergence. She champions the idea that conditions like ADHD are not merely disorders but can be seen as unique cognitive strengths, offering fresh perspectives to society.
Manika’s list of achievements reflects her versatility. She has represented India at the BIMSTEC Sewocon, an international platform under the Ministry of External Affairs. Recognised for her artistic talents, she has been honoured by both the Lalit Kala Academy and the JJ School of Arts.
Her creative streak shines through in her work as a classical dancer and painter, while her disciplined side is evident in her being an NCC (National Cadet Corps) graduate. Known as a strong public speaker and performer, she embodies a blend of intellect, artistry, and leadership.
Sharing her journey on Instagram, Manika described a moment of alignment between endings and beginnings:
“The day I passed down my crown as Miss Universe Rajasthan was also the day I stood at the Miss Universe India final auditions. To close one chapter while beginning another, on the same day, is not an accident—it’s alignment.”
As Manika prepares to step onto the global Miss Universe stage in Thailand, she carries not only the crown but also her vision of change, creativity, and empowerment. For India, she represents the perfect combination of beauty, intellect, and advocacy, making her a strong contender on the international platform.
