Shah Rukh Khan ‘Insulted’ at Big-Fat Wedding? Viral Clip Sparks Debate

Shah Rukh Khan may be one of the richest actors in India, with a staggering net worth of ₹12,490 crore, but that hasn’t stopped critics from targeting him every time he performs at high-profile weddings. The chatter began back in 2004, when he danced at steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal’s daughter’s wedding, and since then, his appearances at “big fat” celebrations have always attracted a mix of awe and trolling. His latest appearance at a Delhi wedding, where Salman Khan also joined him, was no different.

The Viral “Bolo Zubaan Kesari” Moment

A wedding clip recently went viral, showing an unexpected and slightly awkward exchange between SRK and the bride. As he greeted the couple, she suddenly asked him to say the iconic “Bolo Zubaan Kesari” line from his Vimal pan masala ad.

SRK handled it with trademark humour, laughing and responding, “Once you work with ‘gutkha wale’, they never let you forget it.”

He gently dodged the request, adding, “God bless you, keep doing good things, but should I really say ‘Zubaan Kesari’, here?”

When the bride insisted, he joked, “Oh no, this is banned now. Don’t say such things, you’ll get me banned too. Just stay quiet here.”

And when she still didn’t give up, he delivered the perfect comeback:
“Are you my fan or Vimal’s?”

The internet quickly pounced on the moment, calling it “embarrassing” and “insulting,” though the actor’s light-hearted handling showed he was far from rattled.

Was Shah Rukh Really Insulted? A Closer Look
Another viral clip added fuel to the trolling. It showed SRK dancing on stage while the bride stood still nearby, with the caption: "Shah Rukh Khan danced at some billionaire’s wedding for money, and even the bride refused to dance with him." This sparked debates about disrespect, until the full video surfaced.

Fact check:
The clip was misleading.
In the original Reddit video, Shah Rukh is clearly dancing with the groom, who is trying to match steps with him to a Pathaan track. The bride is simply standing to the side, watching the two with an amused expression. There was no snub, no insult, just a moment cropped to create unnecessary drama.

On the Work Front

Amid the wedding chatter and viral edits, SRK is gearing up for his next major project, Siddharth Anand’s action thriller King, slated for a 2026 release.

Despite the noise, one thing remains unchanged: whether at a film set or a wedding stage, Shah Rukh Khan knows how to own the moment, with charm, humour, and the grace of a true superstar.
