After nearly a decade of ups and downs and milestones together, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have ended their relationship. The long-time on-again, off-again couple, who have a four-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove, have broken up amicably, according to insiders who know the couple well.

An Amicable Split After Growing Apart

An insider told US Weekly that the split was not bitter. “Katy and Orlando have broken up but are still friendly,” the insider said. “Katy is, naturally, sad but is relieved to avoid going through another divorce because that was the worst period of her life.” The singer was last married to comedian Russell Brand.

Perry and Bloom have been reportedly living separately for a few months now, with distance and different lifestyles being the primary reason for their breakup. Katy’s constant Lifetimes tour has been keeping her occupied, and the time spent apart made them realize that they had grown apart.

“They’ve grown apart and aren’t living the same lives anymore,” another source continued. “They’ve been spending more and more time apart.”

No Wedding, No Drama

Though they became engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019, no wedding plans were ever made. “They never set a date or got around to planning anything,” a second source added, stating that “Orlando is over it.”

Perry has leased out her Westcott Estate in Montecito, which was meant to serve as their family home, marking an evident change in their future plans.

A Love Story Comes to a Close

The pair started dating in 2016, broke up briefly in 2017, and were back together in 2018. They welcomed daughter Daisy in 2020. Though their relationship has come to a close, both Perry and Bloom have been candid about how hard it is to keep their relationship together.

In spite of the breakup, the former pair are devoted co-parents, moving forward together with respect.
