Dhurandhar Spoof Review Goes Viral as ‘Pakistani’ Viewer Labels Ranveer Singh Film Unforgettable

A video that appeared to show a Pakistani viewer praising Ranveer Singh’s action thriller Dhurandhar has taken social media by storm, but the real story behind the viral clip may surprise many. The widely shared video shows a man, speaking in character as a Pakistani viewer, commenting on the film’s intensity, realism and overall impact. In the footage, he describes the movie as “risky and unforgettable,” echoing the strong reactions the spy drama Dhurandhar has been generating online.

The clip was first circulated across social media platforms and was quickly picked up by meme pages and entertainment accounts. Many users shared it as an authentic reaction from across the border. However, what went viral as a “Pakistani man reviews Dhurandhar” video was later clarified. The man featured in the clip is, in fact, an Indian content creator performing a character for comedic effect.

The original Instagram Reel was posted by content creator Vikanshu Tomar, who, along with two friends, role-plays as Pakistani viewers discussing the film’s portrayal of events and characters. Shot in a humorous tone, the video gained massive traction, amassing millions of views within days and spreading rapidly across platforms such as Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

So convincing was the performance that several social media pages - and even a few media reports - initially misidentified him as a real Pakistani viewer reacting to the Ranveer Singh film Dhurandhar. As the confusion grew, Vikanshu released a follow-up video addressing the misunderstanding. Staying in character, he humorously acknowledged the mix-up and joked, “Next time se acting halki karunga” (“Next time I’ll act less convincingly”), poking fun at how realistic his performance appeared to audiences.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar has emerged as a major box office success since its release on December 5, 2025. The action-packed spy thriller also features Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal, and blends high-octane sequences with a narrative centred on intelligence operations and gang conflicts. The film has remained a trending topic on social media, inspiring memes, reaction videos, dance reels and widespread discussion.

Audience reactions to Dhurandhar have been mixed yet engaged. While many viewers have praised the performances and gripping storyline, online conversations have also touched upon historical accuracy and geopolitical themes. In some Pakistani online spaces, discussions around the film have focused on its depiction of locations and events, leading to varied opinions.

The viral spoof and the subsequent clarification underline how quickly satire, authentic reactions and misinformation can blur in today’s digital landscape - especially when a high-profile film like Dhurandhar dominates public attention. As more reaction videos and user-generated content continue to circulate, the film’s cultural impact clearly extends beyond box office numbers alone.
