Shweta Tripathi Begins Filming ‘ Mirzapur: The Film ’

The actor is now busy shooting for ‘Mirzapur: The Film’, designed as a prequel to the popular series. She returns as the fan-favourite character Gajgamini “Golu” Gupta, a role that transformed her career on OTT.

The filming started in late September in Varanasi, wrapped its first schedule in October, and has now moved to Jaisalmer, where the team will continue shooting till the first half of December. Since the film explores the early timeline of the Mirzapur universe, Shweta had to return to Golu’s original look from Season 1.
