Revealed by BIG HIT MUSIC on March 17 KST, the electrifying news illuminated V's latest sonic endeavor, "FRI(END)S", which swiftly amassed over 4.728 million streams within the inaugural hours of its release, catapulting it to the echelons of Spotify's esteemed 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart.


With a flourish of triumph, the agency underscored that V's latest feat soared three positions higher than his previous chart-topping single, "Love Me Again", which emanated from his inaugural solo masterpiece, 'Layover'.

Yet, the resonance of "FRI(END)S" traverses far beyond borders, as evidenced by its stellar ascent to #2 on Oricon's prestigious 'Daily Digital Single Chart' in Japan. Moreover, the magnetic allure of V's melody claimed the zenith of iTunes' 'Top Songs' chart in a staggering 87 countries, affirming its status as a transcendent anthem echoing across continents.


Beyond his work with BTS, V ventured into acting with a role in the 2016 television series "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth" and contributed to its soundtrack with the single "It's Definitely You." In 2019, he ventured into solo endeavors, releasing his first independent song, "Scenery."
