Election Results LIVE: According to the latest data released by the Election Commission of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party has so far won 217 seats across West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The Indian National Congress has won 82 seats so far, while the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam stands at 45, the All India Trinamool Congress at 49, and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, led by Vijay, has won 79 seats.

Mamata Banerjee was trailing by 563 votes in the Bhabanipur Assembly constituency after 16 rounds of counting at 8:06 pm on Monday, according to the latest update from the counting centre.
In the high-profile contest, Suvendu Adhikari was in the lead as counting continued under tight security, with four more rounds still to go.
