To ensure benefits reach the rightful recipients without errors, Aadhaar-based payment became mandatory from the 13th instalment (December 2022 - March 2023).

PM-KISAN: Failed Transactions

Aadhaar-based payments ensure that benefits go directly to the beneficiary’s linked bank account, avoiding issues seen in account-based payments such as data entry errors or account changes from bank mergers.

PM-KISAN: Aadhaar Seeding Issues

If a transaction fails, it is reprocessed periodically. Common reasons include Aadhaar being de-seeded from the NPCI mapper by the bank, Aadhaar not being mapped to the account number, or account closure.

PM-KISAN: When Are Payments Credited After an Error?

In case of payment errors, farmers and the concerned State/UT are informed to make the necessary corrections. Once the issue is resolved, the pending benefits are released immediately with the next scheduled payment.
