The Centre’s flagship rural housing scheme , Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), is set to continue till March 31, 2029, giving millions of rural families fresh hope for a permanent home. Initially planned for completion by 2024, the extension will enable the construction of two crore more pucca houses across India’s villages.
