RRB Group D 2025 Admit Card, City Intimation Slip Likely Out Today — Here’s How To Download

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the Group D (CEN 08/2024) admit cards and city intimation slips today, November 16, 2025. With the nationwide computer-based test (CBT) scheduled to begin tomorrow, November 17, candidates across India are eagerly waiting to access their hall tickets. Once released, the admit cards will be available for download on the official websites rrbcd.gov.in and rrbapply.gov.in.

Admit Card and City Slip — Expected Release Details

As per the RRB’s initial schedule, the city slip was to be released 10 days before the exam, and the admit card was expected four days prior. However, the release was delayed, prompting anxiety among candidates. Officials have now indicated that both the city intimation slip and admit card are expected to go live on November 16, just a day before the examination commences.

Candidates can log in to the RRB portal using their registered mobile number and password to check whether their admit card and exam city slip have been issued.


How to Download RRB Group D Admit Card and City Slip

Candidates can follow the below steps to download their RRB Group D Admit Card 2025 and City Intimation Slip:
  1. Visit the official RRB website — rrbcd.gov.in or rrbapply.gov.in

  2. On the homepage, click on “CEN 08/2024” under the Candidate Corner section.


  • Enter your registration number and date of birth or login credentials (mobile number and password).

  • Download and print your City Slip to know your exam city and shift details.

  • Download your Admit Card and verify all details carefully.

  • Candidates are advised to carry a hard copy of the admit card, a valid photo ID proof, and two passport-sized photographs to the examination centre.


    Exam Pattern and Duration

    The RRB Group D Exam 2025 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) lasting 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes). The paper will comprise 100 objective-type questions, covering four sections:

    • Mathematics

    • General Intelligence and Reasoning

    • General Science

    • General Awareness and Current Affairs


    Each correct answer will carry one mark, while 0.33 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

    Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by Document Verification and a Medical Examination.

    RRB Group D 2025 — A Massive Recruitment Drive

    The RRB Group D recruitment remains one of India’s largest competitive examinations. According to official data, more than 1.08 crore applications have been received for 32,438 vacancies across various regional boards under CEN 08/2024.

    The Mumbai zone leads in applications, with approximately 15.59 lakh candidates, followed by other major regions such as Delhi, Chennai, Allahabad, and Patna.

    This recruitment drive aims to fill essential railway roles, including:


    • Track Maintainer Grade-IV

    • Assistant Pointsman

    • Helper/Assistant roles in technical departments such as Electrical, Mechanical, and Signal & Telecommunication.

    RRB Group D — Selection Process Overview

    The complete selection process for RRB Group D 2025 includes the following stages:

    1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) — Objective-type online examination.


  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Candidates must demonstrate physical fitness for the job’s demands.

  • Document Verification — Verification of eligibility documents and certificates.

  • Medical Examination — Conducted to assess medical fitness as per RRB standards.

  • Only candidates who clear all stages will be eligible for final appointment to their respective posts under the Indian Railways.

    Key Instructions for Candidates

    • Candidates must arrive at least 60 minutes before the exam reporting time.


  • Electronic devices, smartwatches, calculators, or mobile phones are strictly prohibited.

  • Carry your admit card printout and a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, or voter ID).

  • Carefully check the exam city, date, and shift details mentioned in the admit card.

  • What Happens After the Exam?

    Once the CBT is conducted, RRB will release the answer key and response sheet on its official website. Candidates will have an opportunity to raise objections, after which the final result and cutoff marks will be announced.


    Successful candidates will then be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The final merit list will depend on performance across all stages of the recruitment process.
