SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 Begins: 6,589 Vacancies Open - Here's How to Apply

The State Bank of India (SBI) has kickstarted its 2025 recruitment drive for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales), widely known as the SBI Clerk. This year, the bank is offering 6,589 vacancies, including both regular and backlog posts. Aspiring candidates can apply online at sbi.co.in until August 26, 2025.



Key Eligibility Criteria:

Age: Applicants must be 20 to 28 years old as of April 1, 2025. That means the date of birth must fall between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2005. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories.

Education: A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university is required. Final-year students and those pursuing integrated dual degrees are also eligible if they graduate by December 31, 2025.

Selection Process:


The recruitment involves three stages:


  • Preliminary Exam: 100-mark online test, 1-hour duration.

  • Main Exam: 200 marks, 190 questions, 2 hours 40 minutes.

  • Local Language Test: Candidates who are provisionally selected but haven’t studied the specified local language of the applied state in Class 10 or 12 will be required to clear a 20-mark Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).

Application Fees:


  • Rs 750 for General, OBC, and EWS categories.

  • No fee for SC, ST, PwBD, XS, and DXS applicants.

  • Left-hand thumb impression

  • Step 8: Pay the application fee online through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

  • Step 9: Submit the completed form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
