The national capital and surrounding regions are in for a wet spell as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts heavy rainfall on Tuesday. After a rainy Monday that caused waterlogging in several parts of Delhi, the weather department predicts continued showers with rising humidity over the next three days.
Uttar Pradesh:
Several districts in western UP are on alert for intense rainfall. Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, and Bijnor are expected to experience heavy downpours today, raising concerns of waterlogging and local flooding.
Bihar:
The IMD has issued alerts for rain and thunderstorms in multiple districts including Patna, East and West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Siwan, Saran, Begusarai, and Nalanda.
Flood-Like Conditions in Rajasthan
Several areas in Rajasthan are grappling with flood-like situations after continuous rainfall. Bharatpur, Karauli, Dholpur, and Jhalawar are expected to receive more heavy rain with strong winds today. Meanwhile, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Kota, Pali, and Sirohi are already dealing with waterlogging and rising water levels.
In response to the worsening weather, school holidays have been declared in 11 districts including Jhalawar, Kota, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, and Ajmer. Some areas have even extended the closure as a precaution.

With widespread rainfall expected across several regions, residents are advised to stay indoors during intense spells, avoid waterlogged areas, and follow updates from local authorities and the IMD.
