Who Is Sakriya Rajesh Bhai? Gujarat Man Accused of Attacking Delhi CM Rekha Gupta at ‘Jan Sunwai’
A shocking incident unfolded on Wednesday during Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s public grievance hearing , popularly known as ‘ Jan Sunwai .’ The session, meant for citizens to present their problems directly to the CM, took a violent turn when a man identified as 41-year-old Sakriya Rajesh Bhai Khimji Bhai from Rajkot, Gujarat, allegedly attacked her.
The Incident at Jan Sunwai
The Jan Sunwai had begun early in the morning at the CM’s residence. Around 8 am, eyewitnesses say Sakriya approached Gupta, handed her a document, suddenly shouted, and then allegedly assaulted her. He reportedly slapped her, pulled her hair, and hurled abuses before being restrained by security personnel.
Some sources, however, suggested a different sequence of events - claiming that a heavy object was thrown at the Chief Minister, which caused her to lose balance. Officials have yet to confirm the exact details.

Preliminary investigations reveal that Sakriya arrived at the venue carrying documents related to one of his relatives, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. He is believed to have sought the Chief Minister’s intervention in the matter.
