On sharing the screen with actor Saif Ali Khan, the 'Mirzapur' star said, "I always heard that he is a very good actor. He gets along with everyone. And he is a very funny person. It was very nice to work with him. Initially, there is nervousness, especially when you work with a new actor. You don't know if you will be able to relate to each other or how the scenes will unfold. But it was a very lovely and warm feeling."
Actor Manish Chaudhari, who also plays the role of a police officer in 'Kartavya', recalled a press conference scene where he memorised a long speech for hours, only to later find out from Pulkit that he was supposed to read it from a paper.
"There was a press conference. You must have seen it in the trailer. In that press conference, my character had to say a lot in the speech. I was remembering it for 2-3 hours. Pulkit, who was looking at me from a distance, then told me that I had to read it from a paper. I told him that I had memorised the speech, but he insisted on reading from the paper. That was a funny moment," Chaudhari said.
Directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the film is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15.
With Saif Ali Khan in the lead role, the film also features Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari and Saurabh Dwivedi in key roles.
Described as a character-driven crime drama, 'Kartavya' explores themes of conscience, justice and consequence against a tense investigative backdrop. (ANI)
