-2 Cups Moong Dal (Whole Green Gram)
-1 cup Sour Curd
-3 tbsp Besan (Chickpea flour)
-2 tsp Red Chilli Powder

-2 tsp Dhaniya Powder (Coriander powder)
-1 tsp Jeera (cumin seeds)
-1 tsp Rye (mustard seeds)
-2 nos Green chillies
-5-6 nos Curry leaves
-5-6 nos Ginger slivers
-1/2 cup Coriander Leaves, chopped


Step-by-Step Instructions:

Preparation of Moong Dal:
Wash and rinse the moong dal thoroughly.
Soak the dal in enough water for 1-2 hours.
In a pressure cooker, add the soaked dal and three cups of water.
Cook the dal for at least 3 whistles until it is tender and well-cooked.

Besan-Curd Mixture:
In a bowl, combine besan, sour curd, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder.
Add one cup of water to the mixture, mix well, and let it sit for a while.


Tempering:
Heat oil in a pan and add jeera, rye, green chillies, and curry leaves.
Allow the jeera to splutter on a medium flame for a few seconds.

Combining Ingredients:
Transfer the boiled moong dal to the pan with the tempering.
Mix well to ensure all ingredients are combined thoroughly.

Cooking the Dal:
Cook the dal on medium flame for 1-2 minutes.
Add the besan-curd mixture to the dal and mix again.
Let the ingredients combine and cook on simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Garnish and Serve:
Once done, remove the cooked dal from heat.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and ginger slivers.
