Indian Railways has been working on creating a new app 'Super App' for some time. The biggest feature of the 'Super App' will be its features. All the services of the railways can be availed on this one app. According to media reports, the Ministry of Railways can launch the 'Super App' very soon. It is claimed that this will give people a new experience of ticket booking. According to a report by ET Now, many applications like Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS), National Train Inquiry System (NTES), RailMadad, IRCTC Rail Connect, etc. will be integrated into the app. In simple language, different services of the railways can be availed on this one app.
The report said that the super app is expected to be launched in the year 2025. A senior railway official has been quoted as saying that the new super app will be launched by the end of the financial year 2024-25. The app is being developed by the Center of Railway Information System (CRIS).

According to reports, the super app will be integrated with IRCTC. That is, the new app and IRCTC app will work together.
What benefits of the IRCTC Super App?
According to the report, the super app will be a mobile application in which all the services of the railways can be accessed. It is claimed that it will not take up much space in the smartphone. Currently, the railways have 6 to 7 apps. The super app will become their single option. IRCTC app, Rail Sarathi, Indian Railways PNR, Rail Madad, UTS, Food on Track, etc. will be integrated into this app. According to the report, the super app can be used on both Android and iOS.
At present, the IRCTC app is used the most for rail services. It is expected that the 'super app' will replace all these and work as a common app so that users will not have to keep different apps in the phone.
