Ingredients You Need

For the base:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ cup curd (yogurt)
  • 1–2 tbsp water (as needed)
  • 1 tsp oil

Step 2: Prepare the Cooker for Baking

Take a large pressure cooker and remove the whistle and rubber gasket. Add 1 cup of salt or sand at the bottom to distribute heat evenly. Place a stand or small plate inside. Preheat on medium flame for 10 minutes.

Step 3: Roll the Base

Roll the dough into a round pizza base. Keep it slightly thick so it stays soft inside. Lightly prick it with a fork to avoid puffing.

Step 4: Assemble the Pizza

Place the rolled base on a greased plate. Spread pizza sauce evenly. Add vegetables of your choice, then top generously with mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes for flavor.

Step 5: Cook in Cooker

Carefully place the pizza plate inside the preheated cooker. Close the lid (without whistle). Cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese melts and the base turns slightly golden.

Step 6: Serve Hot

Remove the pizza carefully using tongs. Let it cool for a minute, slice it, and serve hot with ketchup or chili sauce.

Tips for Perfect Cooker Pizza

  • Always cook on low flame to avoid burning the base.
  • Do not overload toppings or the base may turn soggy.
  • Use mozzarella for best cheese stretch.
  • Preheating the cooker is very important for even cooking.

Variations You Can Try

  • Tandoori pizza: Add tandoori mayo and paneer toppings.
  • Cheese burst style: Add extra cheese inside the crust.
  • Veg-loaded pizza: Use mushrooms, baby corn, and jalapeños.

Making pizza in a cooker is a simple and fun way to enjoy homemade comfort food without an oven. With basic ingredients and a few easy steps, you can create a tasty, cheesy pizza anytime at home.
