However, the reality is different. The body only uses the amount of nutrients it needs. If the body is already getting adequate nutrition, additional supplements are often excreted without providing any benefit.

He explained that some vitamins, such as vitamin C, dissolve in water and are excreted from the body, but vitamins like A and D can accumulate in the body. This is why excessive intake can sometimes be harmful. A major study by the US Preventive Services Task Force also found no concrete evidence that daily vitamin intake in healthy individuals prevents heart disease or cancer.

According to doctors, the biggest misconception is that people assume natural products are completely safe. However, many herbal and natural supplements can also have adverse effects on the body. Doctors say that excessive accumulation of vitamins A and D can damage the liver, kidneys, and bones.
