The government is now preparing to upgrade the SHe-Box portal. As part of this upgrade, approximately 17,000 police stations across the country will be linked to the portal. Following this change, complaints regarding incidents such as misconduct in the workplace, online harassment, or molestation on the streets can be sent directly to the concerned police station. This will enable faster action on complaints than ever before.
What is the SHe-Box Portal?
First, let us understand exactly what SHe-Box is; its full name is the 'Sexual Harassment electronic Box.' It is an online platform established by the Central Government and administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Operating under the POSH Act, 2013, the portal facilitates women in filing complaints in a safe and confidential manner.

How to File a Complaint:
