Bail or Pola is one of the most important festivals, which is mainly observed in Maharashtra. This festival holds a great religious significance for Marathi indigenous. Numerous people believe that this is one of the most fortunate days to honor cattle. They are quite happy and enthusiastic as they celebrate this festival. They primarily worship bulls on this auspicious day because of their enormous contribution to farming and agriculture. Because they devote their entire lives to agriculture so bulls are revered as sacred animals. To ensure a plentiful crop, farmers ask for blessings. Bulls are adorned with turmeric and fed grains and jaggery. At home, women cook special meals and present them to the Lord.

People take a holy bath after waking up early. The male members of the family give bathe to their bulls and paint them with turmeric and adorn them with garlands, flowers, bells, and jewelry. Turmeric is the most crucial ritual to follow during this time of year because it keeps all the germs away from them. They are provided with a variety of foods, including fresh vegetables, cereals, lentils, and jaggery. Women pray to seek blessings of the Lord's and perform particular puja ritual in order to ensure the good health of their cattle.
