Legendary darts referee Russ Bray has thrown his weight behind Beau Greaves to be a perfect fit for next year's Premier League campaign. Greaves, a three-time women's world champion, has been thrust into the limelight this year with some impressive performances that have resulted in her becoming the fourth woman in history to take a PDC Tour Card from next year.

Her biggest win came just last month when she defeated Luke Littler in the semi-finals of the World Youth Championship. Greaves has also garnered praise from the likes of Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries for her displays so far in 2025. All eyes will be on the 21-year-old when she returns to the Alexandra Palace this winter, having skipped the last few years to compete in the WDF World Championship at Lakeside.

Her popularity has been clear to see with crowds getting behind the female darting superstar, and Raymond van Barneveld has even tipped Greaves to be included in next year's Premier League line-up.

Gerwyn Price is not so convinced, admitting he thought it was 'a joke', and Greaves herself has brushed off suggestions of earning a spot in the Premier League.

But 'The Voice Of Darts' Bray, who is now working as an ambassador for the PDC after stepping down from refereeing at the World Championships, feels Greaves is an ideal pick for the Premier League.

When asked by MyBettingSites.com whether he thought Beau entering the Premier League next year would be too early for her, Bray replied: "Never in a month of Sundays.

"Look at Littler. He's younger than Beau. If you're good enough, let's put you in there. And Beau is definitely good enough to last seven, eight weeks on the darts.

"I don't even think they cause upsets these days. She's good enough to beat anybody.

"With someone like Beau, if Beau's on form and you're not quite on it, she's just going to turn you over.

"It's very difficult to differentiate Beau from the other players and I think she's more than deserving of being in the Premier League because she's exciting to watch. And that's what the Premier League [is]."

He added: "The Premier League is an exhibition of darts. It's not a major - as some people like to think it is - it's not a major. It's a big tournament to win, but it's an invitational tournament.

"You want exciting players in there. You want people to hopefully perform week in, week out. And that's the whole concept of the Premier League.

"Why not put Beau in there? She's exciting to watch. She's a great darts player. She gets the crowd going, the crowd support her left, right and centre. Yeah, put her in there. Why not?

"Let's have some fun for 16-17 weeks. That again is how I look at it."
