Nyayanidhi raises $2 million in round led by 3one4 Capital
Bengaluru-based legal tech startup Nyayanidhi has raised $2 million in seed funding in a round led by 3one4 Capital, with participation from DeVC, PeerCheque, Force Ventures, and angel investors, including Nishchay Ag, cofounder of Jar.
The startup aims to streamline dispute resolution using artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, making legal documentation, translations, and filings 10 times faster and more reliable.
“When someone gives us a case, we deliver a final draft ready to be filed in court. We partner with advocates who proofread and validate all AI-generated work, and they also take it to court if needed,” Adithya LHS, cofounder of the startup and a graduate of NIT Surathkal, told ET. Adithya founded the company along with Chakshu Masagali and Pratik Pany.
Nyayanidhi acts as the middle layer between enterprises and their litigation workflow. Companies will be charged to store their legal documents and access the platform, with a pay-as-you-go model for unit legal work. A portion of that goes to the advocate in the loop, the startup said.
“Nyayanidhi’s AI maps potential dispute areas and keeps everything litigation-ready. If a conflict arises, the system instantly prepares the case draft, which partner advocates verify and file, cutting weeks of manual work into hours,” Adithya explained.
According to the National Judicial Data Grid, India’s judiciary currently has over 50 million pending cases and 20 million new filings every year. While digitisation initiatives such as eCourts have brought progress, most litigation work still operates on paper-based processes.
The startup has signed NDAs with thousands of advocates, gaining anonymised access to real litigation files — not just judgments — to train its model. Working across the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI), infrastructure, supply chain, and energy sectors, Nyayanidhi is also collaborating with government departments and legal aid cells.
