This rare PS2 game is worth as much as a PS5 - Do you have a copy lying around?
If you're hankering for a new PS5, CEX could offer you a unique way to obtain Sony's latest console.
But you'll need to go looking in old cupboards and boxes for the answer. Collecting video games has become a lucrative hobby among retro gaming enthusiasts, with certain games and consoles fetching thousands.
In fact, with platforms like eBay and Vinted offering free selling services, and high-street retailers like CEX buying your old tech, you can actually earn a bit of cash while also getting rid of old tat you no longer need. That includes old PS2 games.

And while we're not talking four figures in this case, one retro PlayStation 2 game can be worth a small fortune, especially if it's in good nick and comes with manuals. At the time of writing, CEX is willing to fork out between £285 to £572 for copies of the dreadful shooting game Gun Club, reports the Express.
So if you've got a mint condition version of Gun Club, you could pocket the amount needed for a new PS5 digital edition and have some spare change to boot. Another that could score a similar result is the horror game Kuon.
It could fetch up to £508, while the action game Michigan: Report From Hell could net you £380. More obscure Silent Hill games are also sought after.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories could be worth £304 depending on its condition, while the triple-pack Silent Hill Collection is valued at £169. Elsewhere, you could make a tidy sum by flogging the likes of Rule of Rose, Armored Core: Last Raven and Samurai Western.
If you were a fan of shoot-em-ups, titles like Homura, Dragon Blaze and Gigawing Generations could be worth a pretty penny.
The prices below are accurate at the time of writing, but are subject to change depending on supply and demand. Likewise, the amount you receive depends on the condition of the game.
