10 Army Personnel Killed as Vehicle Falls into 200-Foot Gorge in J&K’s Doda
Ten Indian Army personnel were killed and several others injured after a military vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Thursday. The vehicle, carrying 17 soldiers, was moving towards a high-altitude area via the Khanni top on the Bhaderwah–Chamba interstate road when the driver reportedly lost control. The vehicle fell nearly 200 feet into the gorge. A joint rescue operation was immediately launched by the Army and local police. Four soldiers were found dead initially, while six others later succumbed to injuries during treatment, officials told Media.
