2 Indians Killed, 10 Injured In Oman Drone Attack; MEA Shares Latest On Citizens In Gulf
Two Indian nationals were killed and 10 others injured in an attack in Muscat, the government of India said, amid growing Gulf tensions. The MEA confirmed that several of the injured were Indian citizens. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said 170 Indians have recently crossed from Iran into Armenia, with many returning to India via commercial flights. He had earlier confirmed three Indian seafarers died and one remains missing in Persian Gulf maritime incidents involving Indian crews. Special Secretary Rajesh Kumar Sinha updated on Indian-flagged vessels and seafarers today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar have reiterated efforts to ensure the safety of Indian nationals and provide all possible assistance in the Gulf region.
