CV Ananda Bose Resigns As Bengal Governor, TN Guv RN Ravi To Replace Him; Mamata Attacks Amit Shah
West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose has resigned from his position ahead of the state assembly elections, PTI reported quoting a Lok Bhavan official. Bose submitted his resignation in Delhi, saying, “I have spent enough time at Governor's office.” He had been in office since November 2022, following his appointment by the Centre. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed shock over the sudden move on X, questioning the reasons and suggesting possible pressure from the Union Home Minister. She further criticized the Centre for appointing R.N. Ravi as the new governor without consulting her, calling it a breach of constitutional norms and cooperative federalism.
