'Dairy, Agriculture Protected': Piyush Goyal Outlines 'Historic' US-India Trade Deal, Lauds PM Modi

Union Minister Piyush Goyal hailed the India–US trade deal as a major achievement under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He said the agreement, finalized with close ties between Modi and President Trump, prioritizes national and public interest and will bring opportunities for all 140 crore Indians. Goyal highlighted that farmers, fishermen, youth, women, and laborers will benefit, while sensitive sectors like agriculture and dairy remain fully protected. He noted that MSMEs, engineering, textiles, gems and jewelry, leather, marine goods, and other export sectors will gain from the deal, along with opportunities in technology, global supply chains, and labor-intensive industries. Goyal added that the deal will boost India’s economy, enhance exports, generate employment, and make every Indian proud, with a joint statement and full technical details to be released soon.
