Former BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui joins Samajwadi Party in presence of Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Former BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui, who had earlier resigned from the Congress Party, formally joined the Samajwadi Party in the presence of party chief Akhilesh Yadav. Along with him, former BSP leader Anees Ahmad Khan and former state president of Apna Dal S Raj Kumar Pal also joined the Samajwadi Party. The induction of senior leaders is seen as a significant political development in Uttar Pradesh, with the SP aiming to broaden its support base ahead of upcoming political contests in the state.
