Ghaziabad Sisters’ Deaths: Father’s Three Marriages Add Twist To Probe
Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad are investigating the deaths of three minor sisters who jumped from the ninth floor of their residential building earlier this week. Officials said preliminary findings point to emotional distress linked to family-related issues and the confiscation of the girls’ mobile phones. The sisters—Nishika (16), Prachi (14) and Pakhi (12)—lived in Bharat City Society under the Trans-Hindon police station area. According to police, their father had taken away their phones after expressing concern over what he felt was excessive attachment to Korean culture. This reportedly cut them off from online games and friends they had connected with through Korean applications. The phones were later sold. The investigation is ongoing.
