Mamata Banerjee Vows Bengal Poll Win Despite Voter Deletions, Abhishek Claims BJP Won't Pass 50 Seats
West Bengal politics has entered high-voltage mode after the publication of revised electoral rolls triggered sharp accusations from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Over 63 lakh names have been deleted statewide, with another 60 lakh under adjudication. Banerjee alleged a nexus between the Election Commission and the BJP, claiming genuine voters were deliberately removed to tilt the balance. Even in her stronghold Bhowanipore, thousands of names have been struck off. Yet her message was defiant: she will win even if a single voter remains. Meanwhile, Nandigram, the seat that saw her dramatic 2021 defeat to Suvendu Adhikari, has recorded a net gain in voters. Adding fuel to the fire, Abhishek Banerjee predicted a 260-plus seat victory for TMC and warned of national consequences for BJP if it falls below 50 in Bengal.
