‘Modi Under Trump’s Grip’: Rahul Gandhi Hits Back At Nishikant Dubey’s Motion
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi intensified his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the government has compromised India’s farmers and food security through a trade deal with the United States. In a video message, Rahul accused the Prime Minister of opening India’s agricultural markets to foreign interests, impacting cotton, maize, soybean, apple and fruit growers. He claimed the move favours large corporates and external forces while leaving small Indian farmers without adequate MSP or mechanisation. Calling the decision anti-farmer, Rahul said the Congress would strongly oppose it. He dared the government to initiate legal or parliamentary action, asserting he would not retreat from standing with farmers and exposing what he called the “truth” in Parliament.
