Not All Are Illiterate: Rajnath Singh Cites Red Fort Blast, Flags Educated, White Collar Terrorists

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has flagged what he called a dangerous and emerging trend of white-collar terrorism in India. Referring to the deadly car bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, Singh said the perpetrators were doctors, underlining how highly educated individuals are now being drawn into terror networks. He warned that knowledge without values poses a serious threat to society. Singh said education must focus not only on careers but also on ethics, discipline and national responsibility. He also highlighted India’s progress in defence manufacturing, the role of new technologies like artificial intelligence, and the importance of maintaining a balance between self-respect and arrogance. Singh said India is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2030 and that institutions of higher learning have a crucial role in shaping that future.
