“Public Interest Will Guide Every Decision,” PM Modi Reassures Nation Amid Global Uncertainty

Addressing the NXT Summit in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India has significantly strengthened its energy security over the past decade through major investments in petroleum infrastructure. He noted that before 2014, the country had almost no strategic petroleum reserves to store crude oil during emergencies, but today India has built reserves exceeding 50 lakh tonnes and is expanding further capacity. The Prime Minister also highlighted that India’s refining capacity has increased by more than 40 million tonnes annually, helping the country emerge as one of the world’s major refining hubs. Modi said India will overcome the current global crisis triggered by war, expressing confidence in the collective strength of 140 crore Indians, just as during the COVID-19 pandemic.
