Rajnath Singh, Greek Counterpart Chart Five-Year Defence Cooperation Roadmap

During a meeting in Delhi with Greece’s Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Georgios S. Dendias, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasised the growing strength of India-Greece relations and described the partnership as time-tested and strategic. He said the two countries share common values of peace, stability, freedom and adherence to the rule of law. Singh recalled that bilateral ties were elevated to a strategic partnership following the Indian Prime Minister’s visit in 2023 and were further reinforced by the Greek Prime Minister’s visit to India in February 2024. He added that a joint statement was issued during the discussions to promote cooperation across defence and security, economic engagement, India-EU relations and coordination at multilateral platforms.
