Respect One, Call Another Traitor? Sitharaman Exposes Rahul’s Double Standards

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday hit back at Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, responding to his remarks during the Budget discussion. Sitharaman said Rahul Gandhi spoke in terms of “grip and control,” likening his arguments to jujutsu and martial arts. She highlighted what she called inconsistencies in his approach, pointing out that while he expressed respect for Jagdambika Pal as a former party colleague, he labelled Ravneet Singh Bittu a traitor despite a similar political background. Addressing concerns raised on artificial intelligence and data, the Finance Minister rejected claims that India’s data was being controlled by foreign entities, stating that such assertions were inaccurate and misleading.
