This clip features a nursery student from the village of Saide, near Mamdot in Firozpur, who expresses his sorrowful reason for not completing his schoolwork. The child reveals, with a heavy heart, that he couldn't do his homework because there was no flour at home, and he hadn't eaten any bread that day.
After the video gained traction, the teacher shared insights about the child's situation. He explained that the boy was candidly expressing why he couldn't finish his school tasks. The child, named Amrit, is only five years old and attends a government school in his village. His teacher, Lakhwinder Singh, was visibly emotional upon hearing the child's words, which highlighted the harsh realities faced by many families.

Amrit's family struggles with poverty, and his father only finds work sporadically, which directly affects their ability to put food on the table. On the day in question, Amrit's mother noticed the lack of flour at home when sending her children to school. In a desperate attempt to feed them, she sought flour from two neighboring houses but was unsuccessful, leading to the heartbreaking decision to send Amrit to school without breakfast.
