Mumbai: Actress Alia Bhatt has expressed her heartfelt prayers for those impacted by the devastating floods in Punjab.
In a message filled with compassion, Alia conveyed her hopes that every affected family receives the necessary support to recover and rebuild their lives.

Alia is not alone in her sentiments; numerous other notable figures from the Hindi film industry have also raised their voices regarding the dire situation in Punjab.
Filmmaker Karan Johar remarked: “It’s been a tough time for our friends & family in Punjab with the brutality of the floods. Sending my prayers and strength to overcome this adversity. Please do your part in any way possible and share only verified information.”
His post included a list of helpline numbers to ensure that those affected can access immediate assistance.
Ajay Devgn expressed his sorrow, stating, “It’s truly heartbreaking to witness the distress caused by the floods in the North. My thoughts are with all those impacted. I hope assistance reaches the affected areas swiftly.”
Sidharth Malhotra shared, “Heart goes out to everyone affected by the floods in Punjab. Praying for strength, safety, and relief for all.”

Punjab is currently grappling with a natural disaster as the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers overflow due to heavy rainfall in their catchment areas in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
The regions most severely impacted include Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, and Amritsar.
Additionally, reports indicate that the Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage have been suspended until September 5.
