**The Significance of the Second Bada Mangal**
According to religious scriptures, *Bada Mangal* is regarded as a day to seek the special grace and blessings of Lord Hanuman. It is believed that performing worship and observing a fast with proper rituals on this day helps resolve life's crises and provides relief from obstacles associated with the planet Mars. This time, the *Bada Mangal* coincides with the *Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga*—an alignment considered to be extremely auspicious. According to astrologers, acts of worship, charity, and mantra chanting performed during this specific *Yoga* yield manifold rewards. On this day, devotees visit Hanuman temples to offer *Sindoor* (vermilion), jasmine oil, red flowers, and *Prasad* (sacred food offerings).

**Why is it called the Budhwa Mangal Fast?**

*Bada Mangal* is one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar, dedicated entirely to the worship of Lord Hanuman. This day holds immense religious and spiritual significance for Hindus. It is believed that this day opens gateways to powerful spiritual energy, fostering spiritual awakening and providing protection against malevolent forces. It is also referred to as *Budhwa Mangal* (literally meaning 'Old Man's Tuesday'), as it is believed that on this day, devotees specifically worship Lord Hanuman in his *Budhwa* (elderly) form. When devotees offer their prayers to Him on this day, Lord Hanuman bestows upon them His special grace and divine protection.

**Eight Bada Mangals in the Month of Jyeshtha**

This year, there will be eight *Budhwa Mangals* occurring across the months of May and June, as this particular year includes an *Adhik Maas* (an intercalary or extra month) in the Hindu calendar. Therefore, this year is considered special, as in 2026, people will have the opportunity to observe eight *Bada Mangals* (Grand Tuesdays) and can please Lord Hanuman with true devotion and deep faith.
