Exciting Matches Highlight Day Five of Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department Championship

Day Five Results from Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) [India], October 4: The fifth day of the 5th Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship 2025 saw thrilling matches at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy ISWP ground. Teams including the All India Police Sports Control Board, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Services Sports Control Board, Central Industrial Security Force, Food Corporation of India, and Sports Authority of India emerged victorious in their respective games.


In the opening match, the All India Police Sports Control Board showcased their strength with a commanding 5-1 victory over Punjab National Bank in Pool A. Arun Sahani was a standout player, netting two goals (9', 38'). Additional contributions came from Aman Sharma (7'), Haris Mohammad (23'), and Naveen Kumar Tirki (51'). Gursimran Singh (41') managed to score the only goal for Punjab National Bank, according to a press release from Hockey India.


Moving to Pool B, the Comptroller & Auditor General of India triumphed over the Central Reserve Police Force with a score of 4-2. Bharath Mahalingappa Kurtakoti (3', 37') and Khanpathan Aamid Sarfaraz (11', 42') each scored twice, while Lovejeet Singh (14') and Captain Saroj Ekka (47') found the net for the Central Reserve Police Force.


In Pool C, the Services Sports Control Board secured a narrow 2-1 win against Central Secretariat. Tiras K (2') opened the scoring for Central Secretariat, but Services Sports Control Board quickly responded with goals from Sukhnath Guria (11') and Manip Kerketta (13') to clinch the match.


Another exciting Pool C match saw the Central Industrial Security Force edge out Steel Plant Sports Board with a 5-4 victory. Yograj Singh (30', 51') scored two vital goals, supported by Bhima Ekka (10'), Lokesh Bora (34'), and Nithin (55'). Steel Plant Sports Board's goals came from Sem Munda (15', 59'), Simon Bodra (42'), and Captain Deepak Soreng (47').


In Pool D, the Food Corporation of India delivered an impressive performance, defeating the I.T.B.P. Central Hockey Team 15-2. Laishram Dipu Singh was a key player, scoring four times (4', 33', 51', 52'). Nitin also had a standout game with three goals (19', 35', 40'). Dinachandra Moirangthem (9') and Roshan (27') scored the two goals for I.T.B.P.


The final match of the day featured the Sports Authority of India overcoming the Central Board of Direct Taxes with a score of 3-1. Goals from Mohit Karma (30'), Manish Sahani (33'), and Sachin (55') secured the win, while Nachappa IR (40') scored for the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
