Implementation and Policy Background

Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik

The exemption is part of the Maharashtra Electric Vehicle Policy announced in April 2025, aimed at promoting EV adoption and reducing dependence on conventional fuels. Other national and state highways may offer up to 50% discount

for electric cars.
