Labubu Doll Denial Leads Boy to Cause ₹48 Lakh Damage to Relative’s Home

Expensive homes and energetic children are rarely a good mix, as Shanghai-based social media influencer Little Azheng, better known as Tail Brother, recently found out. What began as a casual family visit ended in a luxury disaster, leaving the influencer with a repair bill worth nearly ₹48 lakh.




The drama unfolded when a relative’s child spotted Tail Brother’s prized possession-a Labubu doll. But this wasn’t just any doll. It was adorned with jewellery, with gem rings fitted onto its ears, hands, and feet, making it a rare and costly collector’s item. The boy asked for the doll, but when the influencer refused, things took a destructive turn.

In a burst of anger, the child threw a remote control high into the air. It struck the mirrored glass ceiling of the living room, shattering panels worth about ¥100,000 (₹12 lakh). Pieces then damaged an Italian crystal chandelier valued at ¥300,000 (₹36 lakh). The total loss was a staggering ¥400,000 (₹48 lakh). To add insult to injury, the child didn’t apologise.




Repairing the ceiling isn’t a simple job. “The repair work for the ceiling alone requires removing and replacing all the remaining glass panels" Tail Brother explained in frustration. Yet, instead of accepting responsibility, the boy’s parents asked him not to post about the incident online, fearing public backlash.

While admitting they could not afford the costs, the parents offered just ¥20,000 (₹2 lakh), split into two instalments. “We are poor and cannot afford compensation. There is no point in going to court. Please do not involve the child."

Tail Brother reluctantly agreed, though he felt emotionally pressured. “Elders always love using kinship as emotional blackmail. It is incredibly boundary-crossing" he said.

For the influencer, the loss wasn’t just financial-it was a harsh reminder that sometimes, the biggest risks to your valuables come from the people you least expect.
