Every Vidhan Sabha Constituency To Gave 5-5 Pink Polling Booths, Model Polling Booths : Apneet Riyait

During the Lok Sabha elections being held in Punjab on may 19, 2019, five pink polling booths will be set up in each vidhan sabha constituency of the district wherein only female voters will be able cast their votes to encourage women to come out of their homes and cast vote. Besides this 5 model polling booths each will be set up in all the three vidhan sabha constituenciesAlso around 577439 voters will cast their votes in the elections that include 149823 urban voters and 427616 rural voters.District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said while addressing meeting of political parties and mediapersons especially convened for the elections.

SSP Mansa Mr Gulneet Singh Khurana accompanied was also present.  He added that all three vidhan sabha constituencies including Mansa, Sardulgarh and Budhlada will have 5 pink polling booths each which will eb meant only for the female voters. These polling booths will have female security officers and employees deputed there for the convenience of female voters. Also each vidhan sabha constituency will have 5 model polling booths each wherein services would be provided as per the instructions of the Election Commission. She added that the social media accounts of political candidates will also be monitored.Giving further information about the arrangements made for law and order during the elections, SSP Mr Gulneet Singh Khurana said that due to elections, the Mansa police have already set up  three inter state nakas.  

Total 25 such inter state nakas will be set up to check the borders. He added that 65 percent of the licensed arms holders have already submitted their licence, while the rest have been asked to deposit the same at their nearest police stations. Simlarly, police is keeping a strict vigil on the movement of liquor too.Addressing the representatives of various political parties, District Election Officer Miss Apneet Riyait and SSP Mr Gulneet Singh Khurana stated that the permissions for usage of loudspeakers, holding rallies etc has to be tken by applying for the same on Suwidha app. If any political parties holds a political activity without permissions, action will be taken as per the law. they also apepaled the representatives of political parties to participate in every meeting district administration held on elections so that the eletcions can be held in a transparent manner.District Election Officer Miss Apneet Riyait stated that that no government employee or officer will be given any leave till the election procedure is completed. If anyone seeks leave on medical ground, he or she will have to submit certificate provided by the Civil Surgeon.ADC (G) Mr Rajdeep Singh Brar, ADC (D) Mr Gurmeet Singh Sidhu, assistant commissioner Mr Navdeep Kumar, SDM Mansa Mr Abhijeet Kaplish, SDM Sardulgarh Mr Latif Ahmed, SDM Budhlada Mr Aditya Dhachwal, SP (H) Mr Major Singh, representatives of various political parties and media persons were present.
