Five members of a gang held for looting businessman in Ajmer

AJMER: Police on Thursday busted a gang involved in looting and arrested five accused. The gang would throw money on road and would ask their target to collect their money which fell on road. Meanwhile, a member from their gang would lift the bag of the person.


According to police, on August 21 a businessman named Rahul Soni was sitting inside his parked car on Cinema Road when one of the accused came and said that Soni’s money has fallen on the road.

Another accused took Soni’s bag out of the car while he was collecting notes. Soni claimed that the bag contained 100gram gold, Rs 20,000 cash and some documents.

Police constituted a team to nab the gang. After seeing the footage, the team suspected three persons and started combing hotels and guest house situated in the region.

After interrogation, the team arrested Risan A (26), resident of Tamil Nadu, R Mugam (32) and Ajay Marrana (23) residents of Maharashtra, Satival Naidu (29), resident of Tamil Nadu and Amar Narayan (29), resident of Maharashtra and recovered the looted gold.
