Four more test Covid-19 positive in Manipur

IMPHAL: Manipur's Covid-19 tally increased to 36 in the last 24 hours with two persons testing positive for the virus on Monday and two late on Sunday. With this, the state currently has 32 active cases as four people had been discharged from hospitals earlier.

Monday's cases include a 19-year-old man from Senapati district and a 20-year-old girl from Kangpokpi district.

Both of them tested positive at the Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal . They are stable and will be shifted to the Covid care facility of RIMS, Manipur health department's additional director and spokesperson Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang said in a statement.

Speaking about Sunday's cases, Khoirom said while one patient, a 26-year-old man, is from Churachandpur district and has been admitted at a hospital there, the other person hails from Noney district and will be shifted to the Covid care facility at RIMS, Imphal, soon. He added that the condition of both patients are stable now.

Of the four recovered persons, two were discharged last month, while the other two - a mother-son duo - returned to their residence at Moreh in Tengnoupal district on Saturday night.
