Ryu Jun Yeol and Shin Hyun Been are reportedly in talks to collaborate on an upcoming movie!
SPOTV News announced on November 28 that Ryu Jun Yeol has been cast as the lead in director Yeon Sang Ho's upcoming film titled "Book of Revelation" (literal title). Additionally, industry insiders have revealed that Shin Hyun Been is set to join the cast as well.
Both representatives from Ryu Jun Yeol’s agency C-JeS Studio and Shin Hyun Been’s agency Yooborn Company have confirmed receiving offers for roles in Yeon Sang Ho’s latest film. They stated that the offers are under review.
"Book of Revelations" is adapted from a Kakao Webtoon, and the original webtoon narrates the story of a pastor on a mission to establish a church who encounters a new devotee, unfolding the subsequent events.
Ryu Jun Yeol showcased his talent in the film "The Night Owl," earning several accolades, notably the Best Actor award in the film category at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. Presently, he is preparing for the release of Part 2 of his movie "Alienoid."
Should she accept the role, Shin Hyun Been would mark her return to film after a four-year hiatus since her last appearance in "Beasts Clawing at Straws." Notably, she collaborated with director Yeon Sang Ho previously in TVING’s “Monstrous.” Currently, the actress is actively engaged in ENA’s latest drama, "Tell Me You Love Me."
Yeon Sang Ho has made a significant mark as the director of renowned films such as “Train to Busan,” “Psychokinesis,” “Peninsula,” “The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey,” and “Jung_E.” Notably, he also contributed as a writer for the drama “The Cursed” and directed the series “Hellbound.”
