The Archies' Star Agastya Nanda's Witty Justification for Avoiding Social Media
Agastya Nanda, known for his role in ' The Archies ', is poised to make his silver screen debut. Expectations are soaring for this young newcomer, given the towering legacy of his grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan. Agastya Nanda is drawing attention not only for his film debut but also for his deliberate absence from social media platforms.
In an era where young people are often glued to their phones, immersed in platforms like Instagram and Facebook, this emerging actor opts to keep a distance from social media. Agastya Nanda shares his thoughts on why he chooses not to engage with these platforms.
During his conversation with NDTV, Agastya Nanda shared that he used to have an Instagram account and would frequently feel anxious about deciding what to post. “I did some cool collage and posted it. I thought this is my big reveal, I have arrived. I am going to make a public account, people are going to follow me. But people started unfollowing me,” Agastya said. He added that he had 800 followers when his account was private. After he made it public, he initially reached 20,000 but after the college, his follower count went down to 500 again. “So I avoid it. It’s best that I stay away,” said Agastya in the interview.
'The Archies' is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on December 7th. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film introduces Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda in a live-action musical comedy set in 1960s India. Sending my best wishes to the entire team of 'The Archies'!
