Gets Hrant Dink Award in Istanbul: Agnes Kharshiing

 

SHILLONG: Meghalaya’s Right to Information (RTI) dissident Agnes Kharshiing was granted the eleventh International Hrant Dink Award at the Lutfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Center, in Istanbul on Sunday.

Kharshiing, who was struck by a gathering of 40 individuals for grumbling against unlawful mining and transport of coal in the East Jaintia Hills region, got the honor from human rights dissident Emma Sinclair-Webb and 2018 International Hrant Dink Award laureate Murat Çelikkan.
