Ghaziabad Crime: Retired BSF Officer Shoots Daughter's BTech Student Boyfriend to Death

Ghaziabad: In the quiet hours of Saturday morning, tragedy struck within the confines of Crossings Republik, as a third-year BTech student met his untimely demise at the hands of his girlfriend's father. The incident unfolded within the Paramount Symphony condominium, where both the victim and the accused resided, albeit in separate flats.

According to police reports, Rajesh Kumar Singh, a retired BSF jawan, unleashed a barrage of 4-5 bullets into the chest of Vipul Verma, following a heated exchange of words at his daughter's flat on the 14th floor. Vipul's own residence was situated on the seventh floor of the same tower.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Poonam Mishra recounted the sequence of events, stating that Singh himself dialled 112 to alert the authorities of the fatal altercation. "He said he had killed someone," Mishra revealed, "A team was sent to the society from Crossings Republik police station."

Despite valiant attempts to save him, Vipul succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at a nearby hospital. Mishra further added, "The student lay on the floor of the flat, oozing blood. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival."

Details began to emerge about the relationship dynamics between Vipul and Singh's daughter. Mishra disclosed that Singh, originally from Ballia like Vipul, had previously served in the BSF and currently worked with a private security agency in south Delhi, as reported by TOI.

Sources revealed a turbulent history between Vipul and Singh's daughter, marked by frequent quarrels and simmering tensions. "Their relationship had turned sour recently, leading to frequent quarrels," Mishra stated, reflecting on the turbulent dynamics that ultimately culminated in tragedy.

The aftermath of the incident left many questions unanswered, with police diligently piecing together the puzzle of what transpired that fateful morning.
