Goat First Single: Thalapathy Vijay's Whistle Podu Track With Prabhu Deva and Prashanth Hits 10 Million Views

The first and most eagerly awaited single, Whistle Podu, from Vijay’s upcoming sci-fi film The Greatest of All Time is out! and it has hit a significant milestone.

As per the makers, the film has hit 10 million real-time views since its release.

The makers of the film, who treated fans with the new single, have unveiled the official song on Tamil New Year, April 14.

Sung by Thalapathy Vijay and composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the song is a peppy number, which begins with a fun banter between Prabhu Deva and Thalapathy Vijay.

Soon, Vijay takes centre stage to sing the number which has The GOAT squad – Prashanth, Prabhu Deva and Ajmal Amir dance with the star.

Whistle Podu hits 10 million views

The song which has now become a viral hit, has crossed 10 million views. Given that the song features the hook line Nanbi Namba, whistle podu, it is needless to say that it has appealed to ardent fans of the actor.

Another interesting aspect of the song is when Vijay says the word, campaign and Prabhu Deva asks if he said the same, Vijay corrects him, saying that he said champagne and not campaign. The first line of the song is ‘Party onnu thodangatuma?’ (translates to shall we begin a party), has indicated his political debut.

With the title based on IPL team Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) mantra, the song also pays tribute to director Venkat Prabhu's previous films, including Mankatha with Ajith. The makers also shared a few behind-the-scenes footage from the song's making.

About GOAT

The action film will release on September 5 for Ganesh Chaturthi. The film will see Vijay playing dual role in the film, with de-ageing technology used for one of the characters. Speculation is that the film is based on the Hollywood movie Looper, however the makers are yet to officially address this.
